Safety Tips from the Heart of America Metro Fire Chiefs Council

Hazardous Winter Weather

With the possibility of upcoming weather that may produce icy conditions, the Heart of America Metro Fire Chiefs Council would like to remind everyone of the hazards that are associated with downed power lines and possible power outages.

Remember that if you are using a generator as a means of supplying electricity:

We also would like to remind everyone to place and use candles or lanterns with care.

Power outages are disruptive and inconvenient.  Using caution and good sense will help everyone stay safe in the event of any major storm.
